French Roulette Guide

If you made a decision to try French roulette, you should be aware of basic betting opportunities and standard payout rates for this game of chance.

It is necessary to mention that French roulette is played the same way as European variation as it also has a single zero pocket on the roulette wheel. But the main distinctive feature is additional roulette game rules. You should accurately learn them before proceed to playing.

En Prison Rule

Therefore French roulette has the same inside and outside bets as European roulette alternative but there are few distinctive features. For example, the rule "La Partage" provides gamblers with a serious statistical advantage. According to this rule gamers lose only half of their original bet in case they make even money bet on a single numeral and the ball eventually comes to rest on "0" slot. Or they can try their luck and use all-or-nothing chance for the nest roulette wheel spin. This rule is very similar with the rule of "En Prison" in European roulette.

This rule is valid with only even-money outside stakes: red, black, odd, even, low (numbers: 1-18) and high (numbers: 19-36).
